Russia hopes for the resumption of the six-party talks on the nuclear problem of the Korean peninsula, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 28.

“The accumulated experience should allow us to stop the dangerous development of the situation on the Korean peninsula, to return to the six-party talks, and to find a solution that would ensure its denuclearization and strong security of all countries in the Northeastern Asia,” Lavrov said at a ministerial meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Beijing.
