Russian, Japanese leaders to meet in Sochi on May 6

​Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will meet in Sochi on May 6 "to discuss the state and prospects of the development of bilateral cooperation in the trade-economic and humanitarian fields."

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will meet in Sochi on May 6 "to discuss the state and prospects of the development of bilateral cooperation in the trade-economic and humanitarian fields," the Kremlin press service said in a statement on April 30.

"The Russian and Japanese leaders are also expected to have a detailed exchange of opinions on relevant international issues," it said.

Abe will be visiting Russia at Putin's invitation.
