He cannot say for sure yet, but he hopes for this very much," Japanese Foreign Ministry Press Secretary Yasuhisa Kawamura told Interfax in commenting on outcomes of Abe's visit to Sochi.
"Prime Minister Abe has an obligation to the parliament. If the parliament is in session, he has to be in Tokyo and answer questions from parliamentarians," he said.
As concerns Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Tokyo, "no concrete dates have been set," Kawamura said.
