2 Russian football fans detained in Lille for scuffle to be deported

Two Russian football supporters detained in the French city of Lille will be expelled from France, and one of them has been given a three-month suspended jail term, Russian Embassy in Paris spokesman Sergei Parinov told Interfax.

"Two people who were detained in Lille the day before yesterday for a scuffle will be deported. One of them has been given a three-month suspended jail term and has been banned from entering France for one year," Parinov said,

The two Russian fans "are being held in a temporary administrative detention center," he said.

Another two people remain in custody, and no decision on them has been made yet, he said.
