Iran has opened its market up to Russian beef suppliers, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said.

"The Iranian veterinary organization has officially informed Rosselkhoznadzor that it has approved a protocol on supplies of frozen boneless beef from Russia to Iran and about its publication on the organization's official site. In effect, approval of this protocol marks the official opening of the Iranian market for Russian beef farmers," the Russian food watchdog said in a statement.
