Rosneft expects to close deal to acquire stake in India's Essar by October

Rosneft plans to close a deal to acquire a stake in India's Essar by October, the head of the Russian oil major, Igor Sechin said on June 21.

He said the deal is in the process of being carried out. "We have the main documents signed, we are going through various bilateral procedures, getting the necessary approvals and working on completing the deal. This doesn't just depend on us. I think that we'll complete it by about October," Sechin said in an interview with TV channel Rossiya 24.
