EU should cooperate with Russia to prevent disputes - draft strategy

June 27, 2016 TASS

The EU should actively involve Russia in cooperation to prevent and resolve disputes, says the EU foreign policy strategy to be presented at the organization’s summit on June 28.

"We will therefore engage Russia to discuss disagreements and co-operate if and when our interests overlap," the document reads. Its full text is confidential before it is endorsed by the EU summit. However, its fragments have been made public in Brussels.

Efforts to resolve Iran’s nuclear issue are given as an example of such positive cooperation in the past.
