The Russian Emergencies Ministry is forming the 55th aid truck convoy for Donbass, a source at the ministry’s press service told TASS.
"Trucks with a relief cargo will leave the Russian Emergencies Ministry rescue center in Noginsk near Moscow for the Rostov region on August 20," the source said adding that the 55th truck relief convoy for the Donbass population would be formed at the Donskoy rescue center in the Rostov region in southern Russia.
More than 70 trucks will deliver over 600 tons of relief cargoes, including food, medical supplies, textbooks and other study materials, which educational establishments in Donbass need for a new academic year.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry relief convoys have delivered more than 60,000 tons of relief aid to southeast Ukraine since August 2014.
