A street in the Palestinian city of Jericho will be named after Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Nov. 11.
"Dear friend, Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev, I would like to thank you for Russia’s financing reconstruction works in Jericho’s historic center. In this connection, we will soon hold an inaugural ceremony for a street named after you," he said.
Medvedev arrived in the city of Jericho on Nov. 11 for talks with Abbas. The Russian-Palestinian talks were held behind closed doors.
