Almost 3,000 injured in ice-covered Russian regions

Snow continues to fall in many parts of Europe.

Almost 3,000 people have got injured throughout Russia, where many regions have been covered with ice, brought by a cyclone, medical authorities told TASS on Nov. 12.

Since Nov. 10, the Central and Volga regions have been suffering the cyclone, which hit the regions with snow, freezing rain and sleet.

"More than 2,900 people have asked for medical assistance, and 190 of them were taken to hospital for treatment of various injuries," the source said.
