Russian startups eye the Emerald Isle

Ireland’s National Digital Research Center (NDRC) is offering Russian tech companies the chance to participate in a program on the Emerald Isle organized in collaboration with the Russian venture fund, Pulsar Ventures.

In April, Pulsar Ventures will announce 50 teams to join the international accelerator, and will bring together investors from Russia, Ireland and the U.S. Peter Lennox of Enterprise Ireland, the Irish government agency responsible for growing the country's business community, said his team's goal is to encourage Russian entrepreneurs to move to Ireland.

“NDRC is an early stage investor that offers Russian entrepreneurs a great opportunity to relocate to Dublin and to benefit from NDRC’s programs that have a proven track record of delivery,” said Mr. Lennox.

The Russian startups selected for the acceleration program will receive access to international markets, investment, engineering centers, and an opportunity to work with leading international experts and mentors. They will also have the chance to exhibit in front of venture capitalists at major conferences in Dublin, Silicon Valley, and the Russian city of Kazan.

“Ireland continues to attract entrepreneurs from across the world, and over 10 percent of our existing venture portfolio is comprised of entrepreneurs who decided to set-up in Ireland,” said Gary Leyden of the NDRC.
