Russian Winter Is Coming

Tired of fake Hollywood winters and paper snowflakes? Make a breathtaking journey to the Russian winter a gift to yourself and your beloved!
December 2, 2014 RBTH Team

Russia Beyond the Headlines announces the release of Russian Winter, a colorful, interactive photo album showing the onset of winter in 12 different regions of Russia. In each section the main characteristics of each region is described, as well as its inimitable specialties and instructions detailing how to get there. Locations are ordered according to the rising of average temperatures: from the snowy expanses of Yakutia to the picturesque cities of the Golden Ring.

There are more than 70 photographs of Russian winter landscapes in the album, many of which can be converted and sent as a postcard to friends with one click of the button. You can do more here than just admire the winter landscapes; you can also see the indigenous peoples of Russia’s far-flung corners and get acquainted with the wild animals that inhabit the country.

The album is available from December 2nd in the iBook format and is available for download at the AppStore. After December 10th it will be available in the ePub format, which will be available for download on Amazon.

The Russian Winter photo album is a wonderful last minute gift idea: in addition to purchasing for yourself, you can also give as gifts to friends and colleagues.

Experience Russian Winter!

Elena Potapova, Head of Multimedia and Mobile Department:
"My favorite chapter is the one about the White Sea region. It is just impossible to resist the temptation of seeing its snow-capped churches and northern lights".

Yaroslav Cohen, Executive Mobile Editor:
"Probably the greatest overview of the Russian winter ever".

Yulia Shandurenko, Editor/Producer for Travel special project:
"I was born in the coldest winter month, at Russia’s Far East, when the daytime temperature was -38 C. This is why I am very familiar with the real Russian winter and can even say that it runs through my veins. This album brings back fond childhood memories of frosty air, vaporized breath, red cheeks and giant “valenki” on my small feet and endless spaces with no horizon, covered with the beautiful decorations of snow and ice."
