The fourth International Circle of Light Festival ended in Moscow. Over five days, viewers could enjoy the light installations on the Bolshoi Theater, Ostankino TV Tower, VDNKh’s pavilions, and other architectural structures around the city.

Sochi hosted its first-ever Formula One Grand Prix. Half a year after hosting the events, the city received guests of yet another large-scale event. The British racer Lewis Hamilton came in first place, while Russia’s hope, Daniil Kvyat, finished the race in 15th place.

The Bolshoi Theater put on a concert entitled “A Hero of Our Times” in honor of Mikhail Lermontov’s 200th birthday. The concert featured classic works of Russian and foreign music, romances and folk songs connected to the poet’s art.

The exchange rate of foreign currencies in Russia are continuing to grow. The dollar is now at 41 rubles, while the Euro has hit 52.50 rubles. But news tickers continue to show messages about the new records being set by both currencies.
