On Saturday, nearly 8,000 people rallied in Manezh Square near the Kremlin demanding an investigation into the death of Yegor Sviridov, a member of the Spartak football fan club who died after a fight with young men from the Caucasus. The rally quickly turned violent, with more than 32 people seriously injured, three with stab wounds.
