Pavel Durov, creator of Russia's most popular social network VKontakte, launched the encrypted messaging app Telegram two years ago.
Now Telegram has more than 100,000,000 monthly active users, up from 60 million people last May.
This growth is coming from all over the world. Developers say that Telegram now handles 15 billion messages daily
“Every day, 350,000 new users sign up for Telegram,” said Durov. “And we have zero marketing budget.”
