The town can be reached by taking a commuter train from Belorussky Train Station or by car only either the Minskoe or Mozhayskoe Highways.

As opposed to other Russian cities from its time, Mozhaysk was not built using a circular structure. Instead, its streets were laid out in a sort of network. European and American cities are usually built in this fashion.

The Sts. Joachim and Anne Church is one of Mozhaysk’s main attractions. It was built at the end of the 19th century in the place of an older church whose foundation and altar remain.

The Ferapontov Monastery is a must-see in Mozhaysk. The monastery was built by Ferapont Belozersky, a disciple of Saint Sergius of Radonezh, in 1408.

Before the 17th century, the Ferapontov Monastery was enclosed by wooden walls. However, in the 18th century, the decision was made to build a stone wall with towers around the monastery. These structures remain to this day.
