Russia’s arms exports in 2015 exceeded expectations and totaled $14.5 billion, said President Vladimir Putin during a March 29 meeting of the presidential commission on military-technical cooperation with foreign countries in Nizhny Novgorod, 250 miles east of Moscow.
Putin noted that “Russia remains the second in the list of global leaders in defense equipment and arms supplies on the global markets, with a confident breakaway from the countries following us.”
