According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and real estate analytics, Moscow's most criminally-active districts are Chertanovo, Golyanovo, Izmailovo, Konkovo, Kuzminki, Vykhino, Arbat, Troparevo-Nikulino, Tvserskoy, and Tekstilshiki.
Vitaly Raskalov
Chertanovo has the dubious honor of being the leader of this group. Every day, up to 20 serious crimes are registered here. Frequent flares in interethnic tension, petty theft, and robberies arise here. Experts point to the district's situation infrastructure problems and presence of industrial zones as a reason.

In second place is Golyanovo, the frequent site of street theft, robberies, and assaults. In addition to these crimes, cases of fraud were reported in which pensioners were the primary targets. Experts note that the district is full of industrial enterprises, no less than 30. Criminals are also drawn by the bus station, a crowded place with large numbers of people at any given time.

Izmailovo took third place, mainly for the large number of street robberies committed at markets. Furthermore, the district is home to one of the largest forested parks in Moscow where assaults and murders have been reported.

Fourth place in the ratings goes to Konkovo. Experts report frequent thefts, robberies, and extortion. Bitsevsky Park complicates the criminal situation.
Marina Lisceva
Vykhino falls in fifth place. Most of the crimes here involve theft, robberies, and assaults. The train station, market, and the area near the bus depot are the most frequent crime scenes. Students of the nearby State University also frequently get into scuffles.

In sixth place on this list is the Kuzminki district. According to expert information, a large concentration of dangerous groups of citizens is to blame: drug addicts, alcoholics, and street thieves. The district's primary problems are extortion and robberies, including violent robberies resulting in serious injuries. Kuzminki Park is also zone for criminal activity.

Arbat comes in seventh place. Many cases of theft and fraud have been reported here.

Tverskoy, another prestigious district in Russia's capital, also appeared in the rating, taking eighth place. Experts concluded that those who have moved to Moscow are most often criminals' victims. Offices and business centers have also become the scene of robberies.

The districts of Troparevo-Nikulino reported a high number of apartment break-ins. Criminals pretend to be plumbers, electricians, or social workers. Oftentimes, they prey on the gullibility of pensioners, school children, and teenagers who are left alone at home.

Tekstilshiki round out the bottom of the list. Incidents in Tekstilshiki primarily take place near the train station, market, industrial companies, and abandoned buildings.
