New record high in oil production not to affect Doha meeting - Minister

In April the oil-producing countries may agree to freeze oil production at the January level.

The reaching of another record high by Russian oil producers early this March is not going to affect the decision of the oil-producing countries to freeze oil production at the January level, which may be adopted at the meeting in Doha on April 17, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said.

"It is daily production that has to be counted. There may be monthly fluctuations but the most important thing is that the average year-to-date daily production was such as not to exceed the January level," Novak said.
