70 percent of Russians think it’s better not to leave the country because of safety concerns abroad according to a new poll by the independent Levada-Center research organization.

Only 11 percent are not concerned about safety, but instead consider the high cost of the tours as the main reason to avoid international travel.

The poll surveyed 1,600 people in 137 cities all over the country.
